Sensory
Sensory sessions are delivered through two strands: Relaxation and Exploration.
Both provide an opportunity to develop self-advocacy skills through choice-making, for example, students choosing what sensory activity they would like or choosing the duration of their participation.
Sensory sessions are delivered in learning environments conducive to either relaxation or exploration and facilitate all areas of our learner’s sensory needs.
Activities are individualised to each student and may include the use of sensory trays, foot spa, swing, switch activated/controlled equipment, environmental controls or sensory lights.
