Funding

Courses are free to access if you are 19-24 and have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Bursary

You may be eligible for a bursary if your household income is below a certain threshold and you are claiming certain benefits. This can be used to fund items necessary to support students education. The bursary is offered on a first come, first served basis.

Free Meals

If you are claiming certain benefits you may eligible to receive free meals from our onsite care while studying with us. 

Transport

Although we do not provide transportation we can help you apply for a bus pass through our connections with MerseyTravel or look at other funding options with you. We also have staff who are qualified to provide travel training for students who are interested in independent travel.

Benefits

We can help you determine whether your benefits would be affected by starting a course with us. We can also refer you to other agencies who offer guidance.

Safeguarding

Activate is committed to providing a safe, secure and healthy environment for all our students, staff and visitors. We have a designated Safeguarding Lead who can be contacted through our office.

Assistive Technology

As part of our assessment process we look at how technology may be used to enhance your learning experience. You can bring any of your existing equipment to use at Activate or we may be able to apply for funding to source equipment for you. Our Assistive Technologist will spend time teaching you to use equipment and apps as well as helping you with any problems.
