Work Skills Pathway
The Work Skills Pathway provides those learners who are able to make a positive contribution to their community through the employment and/or voluntary sector with the skills to overcome their personal barriers to independence.
What you will do
Learners are provided with a highly individualsed timetable which ensures their EHCP outcomes and specific support needs are met. Sessions are centered around preparing for adulthood, engaging with the community and developing skills for independence
What you will learn
Learners who are studying on this pathway will focus on their vocational and life skills. They will develop their functional skills and participate in work placements arranged by the CAT (Careers and Transition) Team

Length of the course
Possibility of up to 3 years with a decision being made on a case by case basis.
Qualifications
Learners may work towards an Open Awards Entry Level 1 Qualification in Personal Progress and Maths & English qualifications if appropriate.
What’s Next
Our Careers and Transition (CAT) Team will work with learners to explore their aspirations for future life. These may include sustained paid employment, voluntary work or Supported Internships.
