JJs @ Activate
About us
JJs was founded in 2018 after we at Activate realised that there was very little locally for young adults with additional needs to access in a social care setting, that was based on the needs of young adults in the 24-35 age range. We wanted past students and other people with SEN needs in the local area to have enriching social interactions with their peers. We originally started off in a room attached to Activate college, but as the need for our service grew, we moved to a larger and more flexible building in the local area.
What we offer
At JJs we offer a person-centred approach to support our young adults to access and benefit from enriching and fun social experiences; to maintain and improve on the skills they have gained through education and to continue to promote and increase their independence. You will be supported by fully qualified and caring staff who are passionate about working with young adults
We offer the following interesting, enjoyable, and fun person-centred activities from 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday;
- Arts & Crafts
- Baking
- Community Links
