Alumni and Learner Voice Groups

Alumni

Activate run an alumni group that invites past students to meet in a safe and familiar environment, maintain friendships and engage in social activities. The alumni group meets 3 times a year for fun and socialising including, pizza and puzzles and film events.

Learner Voice 

The aim of learner voice within Activate is to enable all students to share their views and in turn influence their learning and educational environment. All students have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings regarding Activate through speaking with a staff member, student representative or utilising the student suggestion box.

As part of learner voice there is a student council made up of student representatives from all learning pathways. These student representatives discuss a variety of subjects during regular meetings over the academic year. Information from these meetings is recorded and fed back to senior management for consideration.

Over the past few years Activate has taken part in Natspec’s Student Parliament event, enabling a collaborative experience for students to discuss issues on a national level.
